Day 2 of 100: Images
Mental and visual.
Come up with 10 images from the last twenty-four hours. - Ash Parsons
A chunk of this time window was spent getting ready for bed, sleeping, and then getting ready for work. So let’s see here…10 images...mmhm. I'll do a list.
Seeing the kind cleaning lady via my apartment door peephole, moping against my doorframe - whereas I thought someone knocked.
The city bus coming to a slow halt at a red light before I crossed the street on my bicycle.
Three middle school aged boys in a library joking around about who gets the most attention from girls. [They were getting vulgar... I wanted to call somebody's parent.]
Two possible college students sitting stoically at a library table with laptops open and headphones on both noggins - seemingly studying.
Two potentially unhoused individuals resting their heads on a circular library table, as they finally found reprieve.
The massive bonsai tree inside of a tea shop, centered so that every person walking into the store physically brushes up beside it.
A young woman and her baby, strapped inside of a stroller, waiting for another human to appear at the tea shop.
The older tea shop owner providing me low caffeinated recommendations. [I was very caffeinated throughout the night lol.]
The verdant hue of my cooked collard greens with speckles of red pepper and brown meaty bits.
The "oh, shit," facial expression on the rideshare driver's face this morning when she realized she missed her exit, after I told her I didn't want to be late. [I was late.]
In honor of images, below are some beloved film photos I’ve taken. <3
You know what? I need to dust off my Minolta. I was snappin' thee fool outta these photos. She's just so incredibly heavy to lug around town - my back aches thinking about it. Then again, the weight is such a small price to pay for a priceless shot. Ooo just you wait until I get my little hands on a compact digital camera.
Postscript. Okay, I did say I wouldn’t bombard ya inbox. But these photos deserve an email. Toodles!
Come along with me on this 100 day journaling project!
